Seasonal Flu

Please keep your children home for at least 24 hours after their fever/symptoms have subsided without the use of medication!!!

This is very important to help control the spread of the flu to others and to allow your child to fully recover.

The Le Roy Central School District is committed to maintaining a healthy and safe environment for our students and staff. We are in close contact with the New York State and Genesee County Health Departments and our school physician and are following their recommendations.

If your child shows signs and symptoms of the flu, please call your pediatrician  for their recommendations.

Please help us by monitoring your children at home every morning for signs and symptoms of the flu:

-Fever over 100 degrees, Cough, Sore throat, Congestion, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Body aches

If your child is ill, they must remain home until they are fever-free, without medication, for at least 24 hours.

If they are sent home with a fever from school, they must NOT return for at least 24 hours.

Please remind your children of the importance of frequent hand washing, and covering their mouths when coughing and sneezing.
